Ebony and Ivory

Ebony and Ivory

Postby Mark1 » May 31st 2017, 7:39pm

Bought the white dial because I really like the black dial model I've had for a couple years. A recent sale at Jomashop made it a no brainer, even though we all know who owns the brand now. Now I have a bracelet I can wear on either one.

Glycine Combat 7 (I like that this one does not say Combat on the dial)
42mm
GL 224 movement (just a 2824 really)

Lets hope Incrapta doesn't fuck up the brand.

Very nice. Nothing at all wrong with a 2824 where I live.

Simple classic look. Nothing wrong with those, I like 'em.

Especially like the white dialed version. A no brainer on bracelet at the most recent prices.

Nice, honest watches; for some reason, I really like that the white dial has the black date wheel. What are you thoughts on the bracelet, Mr. Mark?

Absolutely gorgeous pair, Mark; I'm very jealous but nonetheless very happy for you. (All you need NOW is the BROWN version!) VERY nice catch, sir!
Okay, so I was wrong... http://thewatchforum.net/forum/index.php ...but I was never so glad to be incorrect... ;)

I was tempted by that sale too.

I kind of like the black date wheel against the white dial as well, as it's different than anything else I have. The bracelet is fine, quick release clasp and all brushed which I prefer over polished.

I own the white dial version which I put on a vintage leather strap. It is a nice combo. Congrats and enjoy.
