I have a blue and an orange Mako, an orange and a black/red Monster, and now an SKX009 to go with my new-ish 007. Not much to say about it other than I sure didn't *need* to buy this one. I also bought a couple strap options for warmer weather- grey and khaki nato-type straps.

Is it safe?

Excellent choice. I have always loved the bezel on that one.

This watch has such a pleasant look to me; cheerful, if you will. Staple for any collection.

Simply a beautiful work of Japanese Horo-Art, a heartfelt term I have coined for all of the amazing Seiko's I have come across since becoming a serious watch collector. And as I look at my diminutive -- almost tiny, really -- collection of wristwatches, I'm amazed at the percentage of them that are Seiko, and although I'm not as accomplished as Sao, tik or Conj, I can still appreciate a watch as way cool as that in your picture. Congrats and well done, sir...oh, and please consider posting a review when you've had it for a while; I love seeing and reading those... 8-)
