Inherited 2 watches

Inherited 2 watches

Postby OTMF » March 23rd 2017, 5:35pm

I have read so many posts about there father's watches, and I always appreciated those posts.

I can never keep things short, so this might be boring for anyone past this sentence:-)

My father passed away 22 years ago, and all I wanted was two fedoras, that reminded me of him coming home from work in his suit and hat everyday, before giving me my daily beating:-)

Well, I was visiting my sister last week, and she told me that she had some of Dad's items, and asked if I was interested.

Below are two watches that were given to my older brother who passed away, my sister somehow ended up with them, and asked if I would like them.

Well, heck fire!

I seem to have lost my touch.

I used to have a lot more skillz, and I really used to enjoy computerz and such.

I'll try to upload pics from a computer this week.

The first one is from like 1945 Circus? It was my father's High School graduation watch. It is an Omega Manuel wind, about 33 millimeters. And it runz fast about two minutes per day. I can't keep up with it. I need to quit smoking.

The second watch is probably from circus 1975, . The inspiration says "prezented to, my father's name, for 25 years of service, now get out of here you old bastard".

My dad, named William but, all of his employees called him, "Sweet Old Bill".
It wasn't because he was nice or kind,
They called him "Sweet Old Bill" as an inside joke for the initials SOB.

ANYWAY, This watch is really cool, it is a long jeans 5 star admiral auto, gold filled tooth.

Both watches are on Spidey twist-o-flex type bands but, with curved cod pieces, I guess from the day.

Thanks for reading sorry to bore you this is Rick and Kansas City signing off.

And remember:

Can't wait to see the pictures- I'm not exactly a Longines guy, but I just might be able to tell you more about the Omega (though I'll need to see the movement and inner side of the case back...).

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
