Nordstrom Pickup

Wife insisted on going to Nordstrom today; waited on an interminably long line just to get into the place. Her Valentine to me...

You have a good wife and she has good taste in watches. That's pretty cool.

Nice. All I ever get for Valentine is bitchin' and moanin' that I didn't get her anything. Fuck Valentine, I mean - Christmas is just a rotten 7 weeks ago, and it is not like she would not be spending enough money on a lot of crap in the first place. I wouldn't mind going out for dinner of course. That can never hurt.

P.S. Is that a political statement of her? :D

She's a keeper, TB...next weekend, why don't you take her by your GS boutique, just to get her acquainted with the area?

I've kind of been eyeballing this one for a few years. I think it came out in 2013 or so, and it's a perpetual calendar as well as offers date, month, year, etc. I'll be honest - I'm about halfway through setting it; it's one of those mechanisms that once you get the hang of it, it's not s daunting as it seems at first. It's an interesting movement.

And here's a confession: It was sitting all by itself, behind a bunch of Michael Kors and stuff like that in the display case under a sign that said "clearance." We paid just a few bucks for this; I mean, they gave this thing away.

Sat with it for another few moments, and (admittedly, with the help of a YouTube VSA tutorial; department store watches being what they are, there was no warranty card or manual in the package), it is finally and fully set, and it only took a couple of minutes. I am really liking this one, especially since we got it at a stoopid more than 90 percent off list. Not bad for a watch with a really innovative Seaprod movement and a 1/100th chrono function that's impossible to stop messing around with.

That watch is a very nice acquisition, and @ 90% off the deal is even sweeter. Your wife is a definite keeper. Congratulations TB.

Great watch T! I'm going to watch the tutorial because I can't visualize how the chrono function works. Maybe I am a little slow on the uptake?

Really a fiun watch- I had one a couple a years ago that got stolen from a hotel room. Maybe I'll ck out Nordies and The Rack and see if I can buy it back cheap. I could use some shoes also, too.

I have been meaning to get there since the Hump's tweet about them.

Yeah, I think that video is essential even if you read the manual. I have it down pat now; took awhile though.
