You may want to check out the annual reports. Under both State and Federal law these non-profits must report earnings and what thye give to charity and what is spent on admin costs. Yet nothing is listed in the annual reports. Beacause of the recent "watches to soldiers" BS, I have sent a certified letter to the IRS asking that they review any tax write-offs by Invicta as well as to review the operations of the non-profit run by them

The "Invicta Care Foundation." Hoo, boy.

Must be akin to those "Reserve" watches. Or the "Black Label" line.

Or "Swiss Made."

"Care," huh. That's pretty bold, considering the company doesn't give a tinker's cuss about its own customers. "Care."

Was this the same foundation they created to dump all those Invicta sneakers and other "lifestyle" clothing items.

They are donating product in return for positive PR tax relief based on inflated MSRP (the costs associated with those watches stolen at the airport certainly originated from them).

Really, EZ filing forms! I want readers to really review these filings carefully. You hear about this foundation all of the time from the lalo and his minions. How much money was spent by this non-profit on charity

Astonishing, even by IWG standards. But then again, I guess it's not surprising at all.

Koi, from your post it looks like they filed extensions for 2005 and 2006

Was trying to confirm the story that they donated $127K to Katrina charities in 2005

"In 2005, The Invicta Care Foundation raised $127,846 to support disaster relief causes related to Hurricane Katrina. The donation was given to the American Red Cross to help those in need after the hurricane’s destruction"

http://blog.budgetwatches.com/invicta-ceo-proves-to-be-generous/

All their PR stories should be a part of the filing

They definitely play their philanthropy to fullest using every opportunity to gain positive PR

So do the hands fall off of the medicine packed into the Invicta box? Given the amount they claim was raised, doubtful they purchased much of anything. I dropped the copies of their filings off at the Salem IRS office with my written request that the non-profit be investigated. I plan of following up next week with them on this. Lalo claimed they had raised 15K on a sunday run and ALL of it was donated to mediShare. We shall see what the tax filings say when they are listed. And doubtful it is really philanthropy. More IMHO like opportunity to get some PR, and write off some money. Love that the watch blog you have listed still lists $70k in value for $158.00 watches. The IRS is going to have some fun with that claim.

I looked through them, and one thought comes to mind.
Eyal Lalo is a Fucking Idiot to have signed those.

The IRS should review these.
It's not even funny, that a Firm got paid to prepare these.

This whole matter is cheesy times infinity.

Just like Invicta watches. Those opportunists better watch their step.

It's not like a 1040EZ, lots of foundations including one that I am on the Board of Directors for use the 990EZ,

You can use this form (and are smart to do so) if the non-profit has:

Gross receipts < $200,000, and
Total assets < $500,000

Better the money goes to the cause instead of accounting fees

Oh, I agree with that HF.

What gets me is the few dozen watches they donated and the MSRP they claimed. Than the poor rube who actually threw his military career away to steal an Invicta? How stupid can one person be?

I know that we do not donate $158.00 watches to the troops, call the press and claim the shit we gave away was worth $78,000. I just thought this should be a reminder of just what a BS laden company Invicta is.

Invicta Care Foundation Inc.

HOLLYWOOD, FL

Why isn't this organization rated?

This organization is not eligible to be rated by Charity Navigator because it is not required to file the full IRS Form 990. It is required to file a form 990-N. This form provides some information, but it lacks the level of data we require to issue a rating. Visit the Methodology section of our site to learn about our criteria for evaluating charities.

What does it mean that this organization isn’t rated?

It simply means that the organization doesn't meet our criteria. A lack of a rating does not indicate a positive or negative assessment by Charity Navigator.
