UPDATE: Apple vs Swiss Railroad Dial Controversy

Postby ChronoMATT » September 21st 2012, 7:05am

As reported in the news and by WatchLords, Apple has been accused of ripping-off SBB's trademarked Swiss Railroad dial design. I do own an iPhone and woke-up this morning to an intriguing iOS update. It appears Apple has joined forces with Invicta to brand the analog style clock app.

Apple and Invicta state in a joint news release presented today, "Great Grandmother Laylo originated the now infamous design during an inspired evening cleaning white dinner plates of a meal featuring sides of earthworms. Life was initially very poor for the Laylo family in the 'old country'. This creative lightning strike came approximately 25 years before Grandmother Laylo single-handedly invented the Russian Diver, forever changing the watch industry."

Invicta has announced initiating counter suits to any actions that might come Apple's way.
