Anyone been Dinged by Customs on New Watch from Asia?

Singapore to be precise, Gnomon watches. I know they use DHL.

UPS and FedEx out of Germany especially hit you with damage all the time.

Nope. I've bought a shitload of stuff from Asia--generally the expensive stuff from Japan, but also from KL--and have never paid a cent for customs. I believe this is due to the various trade deals with Asian partners with the US, which don't cover shit from Europe. This is one advantage of globalization.

Didn't get my one watch from Gnomon popped. Never have had one from Asia get held up and $ demanded.

Every watch from Germany has been dinged. Shipped by FedEx, bill for customs charges arrives a few weeks later.

I've never been hit by customs from China, Japan, Germany etc.., I dont buy nice stuff lIke you either so thats probably why.

Had a few coming from Asia, one from Singapore , a few from Japan including a GS...never had any issues or taxes..
