OMEGA 1957 LE's – Railmaster. Seamaster 300, Speedmaster '57

Postby Racer-X » March 22nd 2017, 4:33pm

by Robert-Jan Broer "In 1957, Omega introduced three watches for professional use: the Railmaster for scientists and engineers, the Seamaster 300 for divers and the Speedmaster for sports, race car drivers and engineers as well. Now, 60 years later, Omega felt the time was right to bring hommage to these watches. Let us introduce you to the 60th anniversary limited editions of the Railmaster, Seamaster 300 and Speedmaster."

Now that's one hell of a re-issue! Lovely! Guess that compensates for the Lalo-esque "Big Blue" and the new (and only slightly less terrible than the "Big Rubbish") Aqua Terra- which for whatever reason (to force people to buy OEM straps only, most likely) in the 38mm version has an integrated bracelet.

I could do the Railmaster (plain bezel Seamaster 300). I will always love the look of the broad arrow '57 Speedy, which has been commemorated, what...3-4 times now? I have the '97 reissue which is good enough for me to not buy another. Not sure if I like the latest lug design...yet.

Found a video of the same trilogy.

Nice hands, though not particularly interesting design. The Railmaster looks to me to be the best version.
