Longines Ad On MLB Playoffs

Longines Ad On MLB Playoffs

Postby TemerityB » October 4th 2014, 3:27pm

I'm sitting here at present watching the MLB playoffs NL game when out of nowhere comes an equestrian-themed Longines 30-second spot.

In the past seven months or so, the only watch ads I've seen on TV are for the Swatch Sistem51 stuff. Otherwise, I think (and my memory ain't what it used to be) this is the first actual Swiss watch ad I've seen since Omega around the time of the last superbowl. Then again, I watch nothing but sports, The Three Stooges, and SNL, so maybe you gents have seen others.

I've seen several watch ads on CNN, one the very cool Omega spot, also one for Rado, and just lately, during the new Anthony Bourdain episode, one for Cartier. These are all much more fun to watch than the Depends commercials one sees on MSNBC.

That's the problem with you New Yawkers--always going to the clubs and being seen with the Smart Set.

F1 races always have a bunch of Rolex ads.

I've seen Movado but I can't recall where, I've also seen the Omega and Rado ads on CNN.

Here's Cartier's latest. Pretty cool IMPO, still think last year's Omega spot was better.

We rarely watch anything that isn't on the DVR. There could be watch ads on every show but they would just be skipped.

If you haven't seen it, there is a Shinola in a Chevy ad.
