Original American Made Pocket Watch

Original American Made Pocket Watch

Postby elliotgb » February 4th 2015, 7:50am

This is a size 16, 21 jewel, stem wind and lever set Hamilton 992E "Elinvar" pocket watch.
The movement is housed in a "Hamilton Railroad Grade" gold filled case model # 4 that has the Hamilton Logo engraved on the inside of the back cover.
The watch is dated to 1935.
I was born and raised in PA and this watch was originally manufactured at the Hamilton Factory in Lancaster.

Thanks, it's pretty cool. I also have a Waltham Crescent Street with a Montgomery Dial, and an Elgin; all railroad grade watches.
Recently bought a Jean Pierre of Switzerland hunter style watch as well.

I have some cheapies thrown in: a gold and a silver Sturhling Original and gold and silver KC pocket watches ( $10/mechanical and just for fun).
