The Phoibos Ocean Master is a diver done right

Postby Racer-X » February 28th 2018, 1:18am

by Neal Goodacre "Back when I first got certified to scuba dive I used to love going to the dive shop and checking out all the cool dive watches in the case. What I liked about the watches at the dive shop is that they are made to take diving. There are so many “dive watches” out there that will never go beyond a swimming pool. Many of them couldn’t even handle real dive conditions. Well I came across the Phoibos Ocean Master while browsing divers online and I reached out to them. They we able to send me one out to review and I really like what I see. Want to see a real dive watch?"

Sand off all the ridges, lose the date window.
Until then, thank you no.

...and once a-fuckin-gain they didn't index the bezel fully

So its 'done right' but doesn't comply with the dive watch ISO??

Heh heh...a phrase from some guy who clearly never dived with the watch.

Came here to say this. Looks fugly to me.

I don’t understand the overengineering that goes into designs like this, too many superfluous zigs and zags.

Hard meh.

I am not certain how often you dive but I call baloney. The watch does not have an indexed bezel which a "real" dive watch would and this comment - " When descending most colors will start to fade but the orange color tends to not fade out." is absolute rubbish. We have had real world divers prove beyond ANY question that orange fades out at 8 meters. Black or blue dials work best. ⛺View — uploads.disquscdn.com

Have owned another Phoibos. The quality is solid.
