I really like it. It may well have something very 1950s Submariner about it, but it's got a distinctive style and personality of its own.

These have the same lug shape the S500 has. It really does give the case a personality different to other watches. The lugs make the watch super wearable too...shortish LTL and nicely curved downward to make straps work better on the wrist. Bremont cases are really good.

Perhaps in that generic diver sorta way (that also applies to CW), as conjurer so aptly illustrated.

Yes I'm certain. I've saw the originals live a few years ago. Loved the case/lug architecture.
Opposing dildo crown signature (propeller), not so much.
