Stopped snowing but still frigid. Happy new year's eve to all; envying those in warmer climes.

Not staggering about now, finally. Time for a change but just too damned lazy to go get in the safe.

So still...

In the last couple days: broke up with my girlfriend of three years, found out I tore my right rotator cuff on Xmas Eve. Ah well, I have this watch to look at as I try to decide if I'll get my sorry ass out for celebration and revelry this evening. I guess it's going be a balmy -9 degrees tonight, so I dunno...

As always, it's good to get back from a week-plus off the grid, visiting our way toward the east coast and back during the period we were gone. (We borrowed a Mortuus Air 'deadbird' for the first few days, but, as it usually IS this time of year, the company got uber busy, and we needed all of our black beauties in service, so it was back to commercial puddle-jumping for me and me missus...)

Image

But I digress...

(Um, yes, you DO, Mort. YES. YOU. DO.)

Image

2017 was a danged BULLIE of a year, so to celebrate, what's better than a plain old bye-yootiful Bullie wartch? The answer to THAT bit of rhetorical exercise in Socratic discussion is, of course, nothing!

As good old Lenny Welk might have said, were he still here 'mongst us, "Haff uh safe-uh annuh wunnerful-wunnerfulla Gnu Year's Eaf, ever-juan!!"
Okay, so I was wrong... http://thewatchforum.net/forum/index.php ...but I was never so glad to be incorrect... ;)

Nimble, that's a hell of a Nomos.

Oh, and, years back - been there, done that. Don't let a tough few days deprive you of really livin', man - take it from us old farts: Life is short, live it up.

I am a believer in learning from people who oughta know.

Came back to say I put this on- it's as New Year'sy as I've got- and I'm headed out for a little fun where I can find it.

@nimbleboy, life is tough and we get knocked down and then we get up again and go on. Put on a watch, look at the time and then remember that time is ticking away. Nice Nomos and love the Ventura. @Pete26, lovely GS.

42 years ago I met Carol at a club on New Years Eve. We were married 3 months later. The date has a special place in my life. Happy New Year to all of you.
