Watch You're Wearing FRIDAY, 25 August 2017

Postby Mortuus » August 25th 2017, 4:12am

Well, here they are, the first pix of my newest watch, a brand new TUDOR "Black Bay," and a watch I considered one of my "grails"* (with apologies to those whom I know dislike or even hate that word). It arrived this morning, and even the FedEx fellow seemed to know what it was; "Gotcher self a new watch, eh?" he asked. "I do," I answered, trying not to smile like a kid. "Yeah, well, it's a nice one, I can tell." When I told him it was a "Tooter," his smile broadened and he gave me a 'thumb's up.' And that's how I feel about it, too...

The other four "grails" on my "Horological 'Lust List' " are the Patek Philippe 'Calatrava,' the Cartier 'Ballon Bleu,' the Rolex 'Submariner ("Hulk"),' and the Rolex 'Daytona.' 8-)

That is lovely, Mort. Really lovely. Having owned the blue and red versions both, this is definitely the standout of the series. Ol' Mort did good. Hope it brings you many years of enjoyable wear.
