Day Four of "My Eleven Daze of ETA 7750-Equipped Wartches," featuring the Fortis "Art Edition Winner," an unusual name for a rather unusual wartch...

Of course, as Liberace himself might have said, they all look the same from the back...not that there's anything wrong with that, mind you...

Resizing that bastard is a little bit of work, Loaf. As I recall, there's a collar in the middle link that the pin goes through. It's not as hard as a Monster, but be aware, because those collars ain't very big.

Thanks for heads up. Yeah, the Monster was my first exposure to pin and collar and was a rather unpleasant surprise.

That bracelet resizing resulted in a couple of lost collars and the increase in blood pressure prolly took a good three months off my life expectancy.

Thank you. I have another Snorkel with a black dial that is waiting for its turn at the watchmaker. When new, these met Bulova's water resistance claims. Now that both examples I have are over 50 years old, I try to minimize exposure to water. When I had this one overhauled, all new gaskets were installed and the case was pressure tested. You see many examples of these with water damaged dials, mostly because this model does not have a screw down crown. Like most of Bulova's watches from this era, these are equipped with a quality movement that keeps excellent time.
