Nice looking watch but I never understood why the bezel has 48 markings denoting 1.28 minutes each

Huh? It's got 60. 1 through 12, perhaps it's the photo/lighting.

Hope all went well, Diamonds?

It didn't go well for them when they made it back to the trailhead. They wanted to take a day or two off from school, which started last week. You know, "sorry, we got caught on the wrong side of the river after it rained.." Some of the Mom's weren't pleased when they trudged into the parking lot, blaming the Eagle Scouts that led the Tenderfoot and Second Class scouts astray.

When I got to the trail head I was told where they were headed so the dog and I made the 8 mile hike straight to them in just under 4 hours. I took a nap while they packed their gear and of course I made them hike out the longer, harder way. They had full backpacks, (I had a 20lb day pack) so there was a lot of griping. At least it was a nice day for a walk with the dog. Here's a picture of my helper, Reba looking scruffy after the trek.

What a way to spend the day. Glad you and Reba are safe and that the goofy kids are, too.

Yeah, just the idea of an 8 mile hike makes me want to take a nap! And you did it twice? Whew. Glad everybody made it out safe too.

It is a 12 hour bezel. So each index is 15 minutes.

Right. Given that marking for 1/4 hours is an unusual measure, whats the application for that?
