A few days in, liking this one quite a bit. Strap is nice but want to find an OEM bracelet.

17 years without a service? I don't think I want to know how are the pivots in the movement looking now... I've once seen macro shots of that (photos taken by a watchmaker servicing an Omega cal. 2500)- save for the old, dense and sticky grease, usually there's also damage to the parts, and metallic debris (resulting from excessive friction and causing further damage) in the bearings.

While it's a great proof of just how durable a typical 7750 is, I'd suggest avoiding grinding the movement to the death of it.

But, it's a WRUW thread, so here's mine for today:

On a rainy day, in order not to risk flooding my precious vintage stuff, a quartz Swatch does its job well. The watch has been through hell during all the 9 years on my wrist as a holiday (and not only) beater. Only once I had to replace the crystal, after a cycling accident. The strap is still the original one (soon due for a replacement, though). I don't know what fucking unobtainium did Swatch use for the bezel of that little bastard, but given all the mistreatment that it got in almost a decade, I must say it did its job bloody well.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Thanks, Thunder. Hammy, a Seiko Cocktail Time ver 2 and another Chinese homage remain en route.
