Bulova Moonwatch

Bulova Moonwatch

Postby Pete26 » March 8th 2017, 8:38pm

Hi guys, not a frequent poster here but thought I should make myself known since I received an email from the owner  I have a Bulova Moonwatch coming in and I would love to see some pics by owners and opinions. I have read on other forums that they are very good watches and excellent value for money. This is my criteria for buying watches these days, being unemployed and what not.

Cheers

Welcome Pete. You'll find lots of love here for the Moon watch. Several here own them, including myself. I've a got a few gripes - lug to lug is a bit much and two models with different springbar positions is stupid. Otherwise, yeah, great value and a well done reissue.

Legendary for never flipping a single goddam watch flipping every single one of the hundreds of watches he's purchased, sometimes mere days after purchase. And for being a top bloke.

Thanks for the overwhelming welcome guys. nothing like having your inadequacies shouted over the interwebs. Seriously I wish I could make money flipping, I wouldn't have to work for a living. I feel like the Patek Phillipe guy who never owns a watch that's true for me!

Hell, he will be right at home. Flipping is a national pastime here for some. Not saying who; but, a quick glance at the sales forums brings up certain names.

Hey Pete here is mine....I love it. The toughest decision is going to be buying the strap version or bracelet. I guess they aren't interchangeable and I don't know why. Maybe another member can say?

The best thing about Aussies is our enthusiasm for expressing our views on American politics. The Yanks just love us for it :geek:

Yep, right up there with a naturally skinny person trying to tell us fatties how to not be fat.

As the calendar turned to 2017, Bulova turned into a pumpkin, as far as I'm concerned - but, the Moonwatch is the one model I'd consider owning in their current line, and have been eyeballing it for months. There's just too much going on there to ignore.

Thanks for all the comments guys, My Bulova came in today. I got the strap version. I was a bit worried about the cancer warning on the inside of the warranty booklet, stating that parts of this watch may cause cancer, WTF? I assume that means if the battery leaks all over your body?

Here are some quick and dirty wrist shots. This is one great watch. It scratched the Speedy bug and has that high visibility chronograph dial.

Yep. Killer package. That watch is made to be worn on a strap, IMO.

Don't worry too much about the cancer - we're all going to die some day.

Quite so. You've gotta die of something.

Nice pickup, Petey!
