The many lies of the Trump family

Deadbeat Trump

Postby Darksider » November 14th 2016, 10:50am

Just a few of the lawsuits he has been involved with. He still has at least 75 more upcoming including at least one rape trial and three related to his fraud with trump university. One of those is a racketeering trial. Lawsuits not listed below number in the thousands but I have a life. This deadbeat decided not to pay the pollster he used, the freedom girls who performed at his events, many of the venues are also waiting to get paid, it ever. The most corrupt person ever made president. Oh, one last note, trump University is not the first time this fraud has been nailed for a fake school. In 2007 it was the Trump institute hidden in a shell company. I wonder how he plans to renegotiate the national debt like he bragged he could and would?

Even by the standards of billionaire businessmen, Donald Trump is an unusually litigious man who has been involved in thousands of lawsuits - both those he has launched and those he has defended - over the years.

The president-elect has been party to some 4,000 lawsuits over the last 30 years and is currently facing 75 active lawsuits, according to analysis by USA Today newspaper.

By far the most pressing - and potentially embarrassing for the newly elected leader - are several lawsuits launched over the now-defunct Trump University, which centre on former students claiming they were charged tens of thousands of dollars for courses that promised to unlock the secrets of real estate entrepreneurship - and didn't. Mr Trump denies the claims.

Because these were launched long before he assumed office, no presidential immunity statutes apply and Mr Trump will have to attend court when required.

The biggest fraud case, filed in 2010, Low v Trump University, is set to start on 28 November in San Diego. It is brought by students who claim they were deceived by Trump University's marketing.

Mr Trump's lawyers have asked for the trial to be delayed until early next year, arguing he needs time to work on the transition to the presidency. They have also indicated they are open to settlement talks.

Mr Trump has also accused the judge, Gonzalo Curiel, of having "an inherent conflict of interest" because he was born to Mexican parents. During his election campaign, the president-elect pledged to build a wall on the US-Mexico border and called Mexicans "rapists", "murderers" and "criminals".

The second case, Cohen v Trump, also in San Diego, alleges Trump's "school" was really a criminal organisation and violated the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act.

Lawyers are currently fighting over evidence and a trial date hasn't been set.

A third case in New York alleges Mr Trump's unlicensed university scammed New Yorkers out of a collective $40m (£32m).

A judge decided in March that the case would go to trial, but Mr Trump has appealed the ruling.

It was reported a few days before the election that the woman who made the rape allegation has dropped the suit.

My former employer took pains to keep from bidding on a Trump property. This was pretty special as our "no bid" list generally extended only to general contractors rather than owners / developers.

After the election rhetoric dies down I would still concede that if we could have seen Trump coming we would have avoided the projects but sometimes it's just not that clear. Trump has fallen off our "no bid" list to be replaced with someone who shall remain unnamed but inflicts himself on occasion into the Marriott chain.

Campaign rhetoric lends itself easily to oversimplification and, to some extent, bullshit. I'm not saying give Trump a pass but sometimes when bubbles burst the innocents take it in the ass - one need look no further than everyday folks fucked over by George Soros to find counterpoint. Though, thank God, Soros was not running for president.

While my employer would actively avoid Trump one thing that I would like to see discussed outside the politically-charged bullshit is how the pundits and predictors so epically fucked up on the sustainability of Atlantic City casino gambling.

Some of the more recent, presumably non-partisan, projections are pretty grim indeed.

While Trump getting sucked in would have made fine grist a couple weeks ago it failed to take hold and what remains is still unanswered - specifically why did everybody fuck up the number of sustainable casinos in Atlantic City?

There's some pretty interesting conjecture on that whole thing.

One thing my trade and expertise allows me to do is to state that, generally speaking, one developer bankruptcy will result in hundreds of lawsuits. Once one corrects for the duplicates in the "listing of thousands" there's really no news there.

As an exercise for the reader simply count up the number of times "Taj" is listed. Those are undeniably individual lawsuits but they are all associated with one, single, episode.

I think Codguy and I are the only ones qualified to speak on such matters but I might be wrong and we may not agree in any event.

At the end of the day it's post election and Trump's lawsuits have about as much relevance as Hillary's email. Which is to say, not much.

Since I doubt there are many on the forum who are IT admins or network engineers who design networks including exchange servers, blackberry servers, network security, her email was a political exercise in damage to someone the right wing has hated since the Watergate days. I will avoid posting my opinion of the right wing.

Accurate (or not) that's a lot of elaborated thoughts on the subject ....
My very simplistic way to see things is that trump is a bully wannabe that happen to be a piece of shit and a dick on the side, nothing but a fucking bad joke .
To me, he'll never represent the USA or be my president,

I do have some background on such issues and in general it's my opinion that there's nothing there criminally though there might be some amount of shit just from being dumb as a box of hammers.

In general, being dumb isn't a criminal offense nor should it be.

I would not argue with you.

I am more or less a centrist and to the extent that my old employer still calls on me to sort out his IT issues I've found no smoking guns.

But I suppose I'm not actively looking for smoking guns. The whole thing seems to me to be, at least to some extent, much ado about nothing.

None of that stopped me from putting Malware Enterprise on the system but that's a whole 'nother thing.
