NW Admiral Challenge: Lume

NW Admiral Challenge: Lume

Postby smellody » October 25th 2015, 5:41pm

For this challenge, I put the Asian Timex Indigo up to Japanese Super Luminova applied to the dials of a modern Rolex Submariner 16610 and Tudor Black Bay "original."

After being excited by my tactical flashlight, the Super luminova glows bright.

Super luminova lasts all night and I can assure you that after a day in the sun, you can look at your wrist in the middle of the night and determine what time more precisely than dark o'clock.

Those sneaky Timex engineers invented indiglo to provide glow on demand. The backlight works by pressing the crown. A movement that would otherwise make me think the crown was broke.

More tests to come.

Gotta like Timex for indiglo.

Indiglo is the tits, indeed!

I wish they would come up with some way for it to auto activate.

Was it Timex that had an Indiglo that had a model that sensed when the face went horizontal and activated, thought it was.

Casio does this with some of the Geee's. Not sure if Timex has done it. I had a indiglo night lite once. It worked really well.
