A Couple New Orient Star Models

A Couple New Orient Star Models

Postby conjurer » July 23rd 2017, 6:39pm

I discovered these two new models whilst fucking around on the interwebz:

New World Time:

And, somewhat surprisingly, a new moonphase:

Cheers.

The World Time doesn't trigger any reaction of a phallic nature in me, but it is a nice watch.

I really don't like the "open heart" in the Moonphase, though- Orient movements are rugged workhorses, but the pretty looks are the one thing that's not among all things great about these.

The World Time is ok. Not great; but, ok.

I do not like open heart watches.

Agree with the consensus on the world time. It's ok.

I don't mind open heart, but for me it makes the dial too busy. I like it otherwise.

I'd like the moon phase without the open heart also, too. The world timer doesn't really look like much of a departure from other models. I'll see how it looks on conj before I make a final decision.

^^ That... I love Orients but the open heart really takes away the balance of the dial.

The World Time looks really good.

I think the moonphase model is sorta-kinda attractive, a new-age yet traditional hybrid, sort of like a mix of Hermione Gingold and Loni Sanders.

Interesting, but to paraphrase Indiana Jones, why did it have to be Roman numeral indices. I hate Roman numeral indices.
