Several threads on WG's confirm, no details shared other then those who visited him earlier this week noticed he obviously in declining health.

During my time on WG's he was always kind to me, it seemed his demeanor to be the same to others despite how they may have treated him

RIP

He didn't know me from Adam but when he found out I was sick he put me on his list to call every Sunday. I looked forward to his calls. Goodbye my friend.

Too bad. He was lucky in that he didn't suffer from the thin skin and cynicism that most people do. Say what you will, but if more people were like him there would be more happy people. I am sure there are lots of crocodile tears at WG from the very people that made light of him. I didn't know him except from reading posts here but I feel for his friends. RIP

Ive seen pics of WG like the Chief and George the Informer (very revealing) at WGGT but never BJ. Would like to see what he looks like if you or anyone has his pic.

He seemed like a genuinely good guy; he deserved a hell of a lot better than he got from the bigshots over at Geeks. RIP, Joe.

Joe was a good guy. I met him years ago. Nothing bothered him. He would call most Sundays and inquire how I and the wife were. Treated like shit by Davis, Skelton and the other WG POS but remained a true gentleman. RIP Big Joe.

How was Big Joe treated badly exactly on the WG forum? Was he belittled on the threads by the MODs or MD? I found out that Chief68 was likely replaced by some dude named Nismo, or something to that effect. Are folks being pushed out by WG staff for not being "loyal" enough? In Big Joe's case, I have to say that regardless of his health issues, it is detrimental to "live" a large portion of one's life sitting around behind a laptop. Get outside, stay as active as possible, live in the real world. On top of that, to spend so much of one's money on garbage watches. It's crazy.

The mods at WG made fun of him in a series of messages discovered when they "left the door open" to an admin only chat room. There is a record of that here somewhere.

Cool kids talk about Big Joe

The below comments are not posted for any other reason than to show how comments made behind hidden doors may not be what people post on an open forum. The man referred to here is a hero, a gentleman and a friend to a great many people. My hat is off to Joe.

Watchbear- Did any of you guys see Idiot joes last post? He spelled psychotherapy psco-treapy! What a fool! He needs a good kick in the nutz.

Michael- Will he EVER stop posting here?

Bruce- I hear he has been tutoring LooseCannon on syntax and sentence structure. These guys are such ass-hats I can't even take it.

Jim- He couldn't get a clue in a field of clues, dressed as a clue in mating season. All of these guys are fuzzy bunnies!

As a follow up, they made Big Joe the watchgeek ambassador after he found out about what was said about him.

worth another look........

If you knew Joe at all you would know that he owned quite a variety of watches...not just 'garbage watches'. As for Chief68 and Nismo...who gives a shit?

I seem to remember he owned a Corum Admirals Cup watch at one time.

WoW !!

Should consider refraining from making judgement on someones lifestyle without having a clue

Big Joe was forced for health reasons into being sedentary later in his life. He was a a Vietnam vet (Marines) and a NYC Firefighter (a 9/11 first responder).

I seem to remember that Joe had a progressive form of congestive heart failure, which would account for his sedentary lifestyle and restricted activities, especially for the last few years.

The man never had a harsh word for anyone, offered friendship freely and showed more grace under provocation than many could imagine.
