I propose that (other than this thread) only drunken posts be allowed here. Any hint of sobriety should result in a suspension of privileges for a week. John can moderate.

No posting before noon.

No drinking yet..although it's well after noon. I shall lift a homebrewed Shaeffer Springs Blowout IPA to it this evening.

Not much of a drinker, I'll have a casual beer here and there.
I've never felt like I truly belonged here and I believe it's time I move on.

I don't think Nuvo is a PBR guy. I noted earlier a post of his included a Henry Weinhards Private Reserve. A beer I know well because I once toured the brewery and tasting room in Portland. The old brewery has since been converted into loft apartments in NW Portland, no idea who actually makes it now.

No, it's true. Nothing from a can. But I wouldn't want Conj to think I'm a wuss, so I'd be willing to shotgun one with him after a few bong hits ;)

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is a good go-to, but it's so heavy... Henry's has been my favorite since I was a kid. Their sasparilla was okay, but their beer was awesome. I'm really saddened to read your post about the brewery going away - I had no idea. Over 150 years down the toilet :x . Looks like the original brewery went away in 1999. Maaaan, that sucks. That's really cool you got a chance to see it... Who knew their presence would be fleeting :(

Don't know who makes Henry's nowadays. I toured the brewery because one of the guys in my electrician apprenticeship classes worked there (in 1998). We checked out the brewery but spent most of our time in the tasting room. All yuppies at the site now but they used to make a working mans beer.

It looks like it used to be but sadly, that is no longer true... They are now out of, ugh, Golden CO... Thanks a lot, "Coors"!
