Its not good when the spelling of the name is the most creative thing.

Looks like something from a gum ball machine in a sci-fi movie.

The watch looks like a ghastly piece of shite, that's one thing.

The whole story made around it is an utter fucking mess. Pontus had no father according to one version, according to the other - he did. The Greek name is actually Pontos, Pontus being the Latin (Roman) version of it. The use of the U written as V is typical of old Latin, i.e. it references a Roman background. Guess they went for Pontus, as Maurice Lacroix already uses a Pontos trademark.
Still, the crown is stamped with a Maltese cross - not even mentioning that it's the Vacheron Constantin logo when it comes to use on watches, how the fuck is it related to some heathen sea deity? Also, the model name on the dial...Nessi? Makes me think of Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster, although no idea how does that mix into all of it.

So, it's a Panerai "hommidge", named after a Greek deity with its name written the Roman way, with symbol of Knights Hospitaller and - incidentally or not, also Vacheron Constantin - on the crown, with its model name referencing a cryptid from a Scottish lake. What a fucking mess, fuck me! It's as if a restaurant would have advertised itself this way: "Chinese restaurant 'Vladimir's', specializing in French and Mexican cuisine, recommends sushi."

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.
