The Cheapest watch you own or have owned.

Postby abduksion » November 4th 2016, 8:56pm

Got the idea after reading Koi's thread on the Timex Waterbury. So
lets seem em. For me the cheapest watch I own brand new mind you
bought at Kohl's this past Summer for a sum of four US Dollars or
Dolla's for you gangsters. I've shown it a couple times already but
those of you who haven't seen it here it is now its no Invicturd or
Stauer but it works and works and works. To damn lazy to take a
pic ATM so here's a web pic.

Its not the cheapest I have ever owned, but its the cheapest I have bought new in some time (available for under $200 at tiktoks discount link in another thread). Its a corker of a dive watch. I was blooded on basic Promasters when I first started wearing watches and this watch takes me right back - even better the battery has been dumped for eco-drive. Perfect...if it lasts. I've had solar powered watches die so we'll see how this one goes.

Your elitist, bourgeois time pieces make me wretch.

My XKD SL-083 remote control calculator watch cost $0.01 in 2009 dollars. Er, cents. Anything more is man jewellery.

actually all of them. the two lower flyback dials counted the seconds in each minute and the upper one can be set to a different time so dual time zones. didnt see much use for them but seconds count was fun to watch. automatic chinese ? movement also with display back.

edit: lots of info can be found at BDWF. just search ATTIVO and go back in time.

From high school through my college years, I worked in a chain drug store and bought a watch with the fashion brand "John Weisz" right off the circular rack on the counter. As I recall, it wasn't more than $10, and I think I wore it for close to two years. Then again, I had little money in those days and lived in a small town, and back then I didn't know any better.

Did the Teutonic Turd Burglar rep for the brand back then?

What a vile thing to say!

Actually, I spelled it wrong, didn't I. It was John Weitz watch, the famous men's wear designer - but late in his career, the guy would slap his name on anything, including 9 buck drug store watches.

These were $3 each on ebay. I thought the strap alone was worth it.
