G-SHOCK MR-G MRGG1000HT - $6200.00

Yes, there’s Rolex, there’s Tudor, there’s Patek Philippe, there’s even Hublot, but the reality is, as far as Baselworld is concerned, there’s only one thing on most Watchuseeker’s minds, and that is, what is Casio G-SHOCK up to. Wonder no more.

Casio G-SHOCK has unveiled their new limited edition Hammer Tone MR-G, which will be available at a few select high-end retailers from July 2016. The price is also pretty G-Shocking at $6,200.

The special edition created for Baselworld is designed using the Japanese Tsu-i-ki technique; a traditional craft method that creates unique relief patterns through hammering. The Tsu-i-ki method has been used to create parts of the Japanese Railway, Bullet Train and Flying Machines. The technique matches G-Shock‘s position & reputation for toughness and precision.

The MRGG1000HT timepiece features the hammer finishing on both bezel and center band links. The luxury timepiece includes highlights in Oboro-gin in addition to Akagene. To explain, oboro-gin is a dark silver hue while Akagene is a handsome copper alloy with 3-5% gold. Both materials are native to traditional Japanese craftwork.

G-SHOCK MR-G MRGG1000HT is more than just a great watch to look at it. It features a GPS controlled Multi-Band 6, Tough solar, Anti-Glare Sapphire Glass. The case and bracelet are made out of Titanium and undergo a deep layer hardening process and DLC coating making it extremely tough.

Other than that a number of the usual G-SHOCK goodies apply, including shock resistance, 200 M Water Resistance, Latitude Indicator, Airplane Mode, World Time (40 time zones, 27 Cities+UTC), LED (Super Illuminator), Daily Alarm, Full Auto Calendar, 1/20th Sec. Stopwatch, Countdown Timer (24Hr), Day/Date Display and a case size of 54.7mm.

If you want to get your hands on this model the competition is going to be intense, there are only 300 pieces available worldwide. The model will be sold at Tourneau and key select independent jewelers.

We’ll be featuring more G-SHOCK pictures of this and other new releases as soon as we have live photos for them.

One of the g shock's best selling points is that you got a tough, durable, overall great watch at a a great price. Hammered or not, that price is almost insulting. And I'm sure tbey will sell every one in short time.
We called another exterminator to take care of the rat problem in the basement. This one hasn't come out either.

The fact checking seems a little iffy based on the opening alone, "Yes, there’s Rolex, there’s Tudor, there’s Patek Philippe, there’s even Hublot, but the reality is, as far as Baselworld is concerned, there’s only one thing on most Watchuseeker’s minds, and that is, what is Casio G-SHOCK up to."

Careful friend, comments like that accidentally expose the douche foundation upon which WUS has been built...

I used to have an old Ford Fairlane that I got for $1. I used to ricochet golf balls off it and after awhile, it had the same hammered-look. 8-)
