Apple Watch 2 Debut: Wednesday (They're Saying)

Postby TemerityB » September 4th 2016, 4:23pm

I'm no fan, but I found this newsworthy, perhaps for those who partake in such things:

Apple has made it official: something's happening on September 7 -- and it's most likely the debut of the Apple Watch 2 (and iPhone 7). As was rumored for the past few weeks, the company will indeed be hosting an event on the first Wednesday in September; we now know it's scheduled for 10 a.m. PT and going down at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. This puts us on track for a likely retail release on September 16 or 23, if the company follows the patterns of years past.

We already know that existing Apple Watch units will be getting a nice software upgrade in the form of WatchOS 3, which the company unveiled at its WWDC show in June (alongside iOS 10 and MacOS Sierra). The new software includes a tweaked interface, even faster performance and better fitness tracking capabilities -- along with changing the functionality of the Watch's side button completely. In our brief demo, we found OS 3 quite promising.

I still like mine despite what you Limo riding, Rolex wearing , caviar eating ,jet flying planks say.
I think it's a cool watch. I get options for dials , moon -phase , sunrise, sunset times , world time , chrono function, temperature, and other stuff found only on watches that cost 6 figures.
I never use all that tech. shit. I got it cuz it's a cool "watch" and charging it at night really isn't labor intensive. So screw youse all in the usb port!!

Jeebus that's some disgusting crap you laying claim to Froggy. If i wanted all that trivia I would buy a Campanola Grand Complication which features time indication, full perpetual calendar with leap years, 12-hour chronograph, moonphase indicator, and a minute repeater. Yes the movement is quartz but that's a $100K worth of goodies with a mechanical movement. These can be had used for a few grand....
