Will there be a Peacock in any Gardens?

Will there be a Peacock in any Gardens?

Postby tiktok » November 22nd 2017, 7:29pm

Travis dared me to go a year without replacing the Grand Seiko crop. If I had money to burn I would divert my focus to vintage influenced fliegers like Breguet Type XX, IWC Big Pilot, GO b- Uhr. But I'm not sure that would do the deed. Right now all the GS WIS be looking towards the green Peacock, SBGJ227. It's a hi beat with GMT and that's about all Seiko is saying. The dial is supposed to have a faint outline of feathers and the production will be a Limited Edition of 500 with price being 6.2 to 6.5k depending on who you listen to. I'm not sure I'm ready to pay to play but who knows, there may be another GMT in Hawk's backyard in a few years.

I want this GS GMT so badly I would sell a nut to own it.

For now though I shall have to live vicariously through the WL brethren.

Damn it.

You've proven to be a fine custodian and I do have a weakness for GMTs. Let us know when you get it and I'll mark the calendar.
