WL Spring Charity Auction 2--Kewl Throwbacks!

First up:

Vintage Hammy:

From the donor:

Hamilton manual wind..probably from the '50's or early '60's..34mm 14K gold case..dial refinished by International Dial probably in '07 or '08..keeps good time..an art nouveau style dial I should think..

A nice one, this; as you can see from the wrist shot, it manages to make my effeminate meathook look manly. Measurements: 33mm across, 35mm with crown, 9mm thick. Speidel strap looks new, with Speidel (non-original) buckle, gold plated to match 14k case. Case shows some wear, but minimum. If you're looking for a nice gold dress watch to wear with a bespoke tux, here you go. No box or papers.

Next:

1963 Sea-Gull Chrono Reissue:

From the donor:

Re-issue of the 1963 PLAAF with the 304 squadron logo.
Sea-Gull ST-1901, column wheel chrono movement hand winding
37mm
14mm high
47mm lug to lug
Domed acrylic front
See through acrylic back
****** this not number 1, it is the first batch of the series.

A very cool version of the 1963 Reissue; black dial, gold markers and hands. Very nice action on the chrono pushers. The watch appears in as-new condition. Aftermarket strap in thick brown leather with original Sea-Gull buckle. Comes in brown wood box with a broken hinge. A very fine, hand-crank chronograph--and, unlike the crappy Poljot 3133, there's no date to not quickset!!

And finally:

Zodiac Oceanaire:

Although not really vintage, there are few dive watches as kewl as the Oceanaire; it was arguably the coolest watch that Zodiac ever made, and it is certainly the coolest to use the Claro Triple Eight automatic movement. Way back when, when I had more hair on my head than on my balls, the Oceanaire was the affordable dive watch to own. This one has some wear on it, as you can see from the case-side pics (I apologize for the pics--it's snowing today, and that was the best light I could get.) Measurements: 45mm 9-3, 53mm with crown, 15.6mm thick, 51.5mm lug to lug, lug width 24mm. A big-ass, bad-ass watch. Black dial (anti-reflective coating on the glass in pics looks blue.) Zodiac rubber strap and buckle.

OK, on to the small print:

The auction will run until next Friday, 10 February, ending at 8:00PM Pacific time. To bid, either post in this thread or PM me for anonymous bid. High bid wins. Ask all questions you might have here in this thread or via PM with me. All sales final. Payment via Paypal only, unless other methods are approved by me via PM. READ THIS NEXT PART CLOSELY, IT IS IMPORTANT: Winners to send 75% of the winning bid (plus postage for the watch) to me, and send the remaining 25% to Alain via the "Donate" button on the top right of each page here at WLs. This means you stupid bastards will need to head down to Radio Shack and buy yourselves a $5 calculator to figure it out. I will then forward proceeds to St. Jude's via Paypal. As postage has been biting into my income, I shall ask winners to include $10 with the winning bids they send to me to cover USPS Priority shipping. International members--i.e. forreners--can bid, but please PM me first because postage will be higher.

Right, then. Let's bid for the sick kids at St. Jude's. Have fun!

Thanks, foggy. A fine start. I'm glad I made the hair loss joke about myself instead of you, which I was tempted to do.
