Introducing The Autodromo Monoposto Chronograph, Celebrating The Brooklyn-Based Brand's Fifth Anniversary

You longtime HODINKEE readers might remember the original Autodromo Monoposto, which debuted back in 2012. It was the company's first automatic watch and was a limited edition of 500 numbered pieces. They've all been sold out for a long time now, but for the fifth anniversary of the brand, founder Bradley Price wanted to bring the Monoposto back in some way. So, he went out and found a quality chronograph movement, adapted the original design, and brought us the watch we have here today. The new Monoposto Chronograph is not a straight reissue, but rather the next member of a family

Interestingly, I don't fucking hate these. Although I'm not a fan of the colorways.

Actually like the powder blue; however, and this is a big issue, the painted "redline" on the crystal is just dumb. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb.

At 15mm thick, one won't be cramming this watch under shirt sleeves any time soon. That thing is half as thick as the Mighty Hydromax. WTH?

That's your tachometer redline. Don't you get the racing car dash reference?

Yeah, I get it. Is still dumb. And annoying.

Normally all over motorsports themes but that mark on the crystal bugs me and makes it look like a toy watch.
