Assuming that the post is factual (no real reason not to think it is)

DAMN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is/was a fine assortment of watches, something that pretty much anybody could find numerous watches they like in a collection like that.

And I thought I had let some nice watches go. Damn, what a group of great watches. And very well done photography.

Wonder what's in his current collection?

Haha... sorry guys, didn't mean to cause palpitations

I have let a nice watches few go, that's true. Sadly, though, I can't afford to keep everything I like (or want) so it's often a policy of one in and something out to make way. Anyway, the collection as it stands is at https://halfpastthehour.com/here-now/, although I did take delivery of a 1960 Ingenieur 666 today (a birth year, actually). I need to take a few shots of that one, but the house is a building site at the moment.

Thanks for the kind words about the photography, by the way - much appreciated! And I'll sort that blogroll out forthwith!!!

Nice to see you here again. I was enjoying your blog yesterday. You might get some FB traffic as well as I posted links to your site there.

Thanks Alain. I've not been around on any forums much lately, as life's gone a bit mental. I'll make more of an effort, though!

Edit: Watchlords now on the blogroll too!

Thanks mate.

I generally use a Sony full frame camera with a 90mm macro lens. I've got no space to set anything up comfortably at home, so end up putting a light tent on a small folding table somewhere and then going through the hassle of setting the lights up and then taking them down afterwards. I did put something on my blog about the lighting, which I've copied below.

Although it can be a bit time-consuming to set up my preferred lighting is flash, and normally I’ll use the Speedlite on-camera to trigger one or both of the studio heads (and to give a soft fill light by bouncing it off the ceiling, or even the wall behind the camera). The two studio heads then provide ideal key and accent lights and the set-op generally looks like that below, although light positioning will obviously vary from shot to shot.

No worries. Setting up is a pain in the arse, though, and I'm getting less and less inclined to do it.

Yeah, thanks for that. I really like the props and especially the lighting. Looks like more than I want to do, but it's given me some ideas for backdrops.
