Watch Walk Guam Style

I apologize in advance for this photo heavy thread, but for such a small Island, we have a pretty good selection and wanted everyone to know.

The experience would not be complete without the free refreshments! And yes, my wife is now the proud owner of the upside down left handed Tooter shown above. (Honestly, I didn't even notice that!)

Congrats to you and your lovely lady on the acquisition of this gorgeous piece of Tudor wartch flesh!! A marvelous present to your better half, mon ami. And, apropos of nothing in particular, we in the USN had a saying about Guam. I don't know how it is now, but back in the day, it was often noted that there were so few available women on the island, that it was nigh impossible to hook up with one. Because of this unfortunate fact, we used to say that the name Guam was actually an acronym: Give Up And Masturbate...
Okay, so I was wrong... http://thewatchforum.net/forum/index.php ...but I was never so glad to be incorrect... ;)

Did you guys notice the photo with the Breitling notice warning against buying from any online vendors? What does that mean for Jomashop and Ashford?

Not too much. Most manufacturers want to keep their ADs happy, and nothing makes an AD unhappier than losing a customer to the internet. Buying gray market does have some risks, particularly if you need service in the first couple of years of ownership. However, if manufacturers didn't screw around with pricing differently between markets, and possibly treating their ADs better, there wouldn't be a gray market to begin with. Rolex, for instance, manages to do this, and it's rare to find a new Rolex gray for more than a ten percent discount

More fine watch shops on that little island than in the entire state of Louisiana.

Damned nice watch for the wife. Damned nice!

Doesn’t mean squat. They’ve had that sign in displays for years. I recall seeing it in the window of a now defunct AD close to 10 years ago.
