JcPenney no longer carrying Citizen watches on their site UD

Postby abduksion » July 23rd 2017, 7:41pm

Was just on JCP's website and noticed their no longer carrying Citizen watches I haven't been to my local JCPenny
in a few months so I can't say rather or not they still have them in stores I have more Citizen watches in my collection
going back to HS with a quartz chronograph. Anyone noticed no Citizen watches at their local JCP?

Update Well they seem to be back up.

I haven't been in a JCP in months and that was only the photography department which is on a completely separate floor.

If the website is completely devoid of Citizen watches, I'd say there's a good chance the B&M stores are too, save your clearance model here and there.

Maybe Citizen had the foresight to pull their wares from a sinking ship?

My nearest mall has a Penny's, and it's chock full of Citizen watches.

I was under the impression that the watch department at Penny's was a lease operation--another company leases the space and Penny's collects rent.

I know that's the situation at Sam's Clubs as well as at Wal-Marts.

Wandered in there today and there was a big case brimming with Citizen.

I don't think Penny's leases out their watch space; they have too much El Cheapo stuff not in the cases, and all the products use the same coding (tagging) system as the stuff from any other department. At least, not the store nearest me.

Yeppers...the same is true for the two Sandy Eggo area JCP's which I semi-frequent...loads 'o Citizens, all snug in their little cylindrical boxes, awaiting a kiss and a tuck-in each 'n every night. 8-)

There is a store near me that is 5 times better than JC Penny.

It is called JC Nichols.
