Glad to say I have no clue who a large number of those folks are.

I wonder what % of them actually paid for their watches.
I'll give Mayweather credit. He sure knows how to fuck up some nice watches.

A truly eclectic mix- though it's dominated by gaudy shit. On top of that, a lot of these pieces have diamonds- I can't stand diamonds on men's watches.

Neymar's and Cristiano Ronaldo's watches are beyond fugly.

The list gets it wrong in one place- the Panerai that Fernando Alonso wears can't be the faux-wire lugs Radiomir, as in the photo it can be clearly seen, that the watch has the normal lugs, seen on every Panerai except the Radiomir line. It is undoubtedly a Panerai, but it's either a Radiomir 1940, a Luminor, or Luminor 1950.

1-None, they get paid and a free watch (that can be several depending on the deal/watch value) to wear them

2-Mayweather almost falls in the same category as Trump ...classless buffoons with money (except that Mayweather have skills and Trump is totally incompetent)

Not sure if sarcasm or compliment, but either way, I can say, "I'm flattered", in whatever tone should be more fitting ;)

I'm not a Panerai fan, but the lines of the cushion cases with wire lugs found on the very first, Oyster-cased Panerai watches constitute the most distinctive feature of the contemporary Radiomir, and the straight, beefy lugs - so different from the wire and faux-wire lugs - visible on Alonso's watch are pretty hard to miss.

Regarding Mayweather's (whoever that is- would it be very odd, if I said that I've never heard of him before?) watches, I had to keep scrolling, as the sight of diamond-set "Dictator's Delight" watches hurts my eyes.

Mayweather is a pugilist. Repeated blows to the head have obviously affected his watch choices.

Well said, Mr. Foghorn. Then again, some of his watches would not have been that bad, if he wouldn't have them set with diamonds...

Tiger woods is a crybaby. That beautiful watch should be forcibly removed.

Those other guys wearing Rolex, although I have NO idea who any of them are, are obviously cool and have excellent taste.

Yada, yada. Rich guys and their toys. Who gives a flying fuck.

I wish someone out there would do an article or compendium on people - just people - and the watches they wear, and why. A few months ago, I was on the 7 subway train in Queens here and a man sitting across from me, dressed not in a business suit or anything, was wearing an IWC. Last place I'd expect to see such a fine watch, and I almost started a conversation about it, but then again, I was on the 7 train and I don't wanna pester anyone. But I was really impressed with that IWC.
