New TZ member CNC machines & builds his own titanium watches

Postby Racer-X » May 3rd 2017, 10:12pm

Thanks to svaglic for finding this. New TZ-UK member from the Netherlands, in his first post on the forum, details how he lost his job and now uses his CNC machine to make his own titanium watches. He adds more pics and details as the thread continues.

This is one of the most fascinating threads I've read.

Looks like a interesting thread but unfortunately, I couldn't get past post #13.

Would have been nice to see the OP posts/pictures without all the bunny interjections in between.
BTW- the first watch is nice looking, the "P1lot" one not so much.

Very cool read in terms of the b/r of the OP, the machinery and process, but the end product, thus far anyway, aint for me.

Seconds subdial at 12, and a "left hand drive" configuration in a watch is a bit eccentric I'd say, but it looks nice, in a way. I wish he posted pics of the finished Movado 470 Calendograf project- the case has a nice, chunky appearance, so if he puts a nice dial on that, this will be quite a looker. His diver watch is not half bad.

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

I prefer to buy my watches. Making them is such a chore.
